The Asian investment companies contracting with the Iraqi government to build 1,000 model schools in most Iraqi governorates entrusted the design, implementation and financing to Iraqi contractors, and profits 700 thousand dollars per school as a result, but they are unable to pay the financial dues to those contractors despite receiving a 10% as operational advance from the Iraqi government as stipulated in the contract.
It is worth noting that the rate of completion of the construction of model schools does not exceed 7%, despite exceeding half of the completion period assumed according to the contracts concluded. (iraqtoday).

Out of a sense of responsibility, NIHR organization has been following up the aforementioned model school construction project in terms of technical specifications and completion rates for a number of work sites in many regions of Iraq, in coordination with the relevant government institutions.
